Nifty Island is a PC live-service game focused on providing UGC tools. I was a QA Tester for the project, covering both the web platform and the game itself, where I provided bug reports, test documentation, and moderation for playtest sessions.

Character Movement
Authored and maintained extensive test documentation for the game’s movement system. This ensured that whenever character movement mechanics were adjusted, comprehensive regression suites were ready to identify any risks or defects introduced by those changes.

Multiplayer Game Modes
Authored and maintained extensive test documentation for the 'Prop Hunt' and 'Infection' game modes. This ensured a stable release for these features and provided a risk-based testing framework for future regression cycles following feature updates.

Web and In-game Chat System
Authored and maintained extensive test documentation for a cross-platform chat system, ensuring seamless transitions between the web and game clients. I verified two-way communication across all platforms and utilized risk-based documentation to maintain stability during feature updates.

Fishing Mini-Game
Authored and maintained extensive test documentation for a Fishing mini-game. Utilizing a risk-based testing approach, I developed regression suites that facilitated the stable release of three subsequent feature updates.

Web and In-game Gacha Systems
Authored and maintained extensive test documentation for a web-based gacha system rewarding players with in-game currency and items. These test suites were designed to support future scalability, facilitating the seamless integration of the gacha system into the in-game ecosystem.

In-Game Currency Convertion To Web3 Tokens
Maintained test documentation and test suites for an in-game currency to Web3 token exchange. Despite the high risks, I successfully tracked and managed critical defects, ensuring a stable feature launch and mitigating significant product risks.

Playtest Focus Group Moderator
Moderated weekly playtest focus groups with community members. Focused on validating build releases and tracking bugs, I gathered and synthesized player feedback into actionable reports for internal team discussion and feature refinement.

Levelling System
Authored and maintained extensive test documentation for a cross-platform leveling system. I validated XP gain across all player actions and ensured that levels were accurately synchronized between the web and in-game profile pages. My holistic understanding of related game features allowed for comprehensive integration testing of the leveling mechanics.

Game Performance
Executed comprehensive performance testing that significantly optimized the user experience. By utilizing profiling tools, I identified and helped resolve hitches, stutters, and memory leaks. Additionally, I conducted asset-placement stress tests to reduce CPU and GPU overhead, ensuring a stable frame rate across various hardware configurations.
